Harlem Candle Co., "Langston" Nightclub Map of Harlem, Luxury Candle

The Harlem Candle Co. is a luxury home fragrance brand specializing in scented candles inspired by the richness of Harlem. Founded in 2014 by travel and lifestyle expert Teri Johnson, the Harlem Candle Company is the manifestation of her love affair with fragrance, jazz, and Harlem.

Part of the Nightclub Map of Harlem series, this limited edition "Langston" candle is black matte glass with a white design. It features the “Nightclub Map of Harlem” illustration by E. Simms Campbell from 1932 which portrays the speakeasies, nightclubs and musicians who were the shining lights during the Harlem Renaissance in the 1920’s and 1930’s.

 
The "Langston" candle celebrates elements of the jazz poets creative vision with fragrance accords reflecting some of the strong symbols in his life. The worn vintage leather of his favorite armchair, aromatic tobacco laced with a hint of clove and vanilla from the pipes of the neighborhood men, and the smell of amber incense that recalls his many visits to churches in Mexico.
