An Ocean Apart: American Artists Abroad is the accompanying catalogue for the show of the same name which was the fourth exhibition in a series of inaugural exhibitions in 1982.
Featuring four leading Black artists that were currently working abroad at the time — Herbert Alexander Gentry, Clifford Jackson, Sam Middleton, and Walter Williams — this catalogue explores their exploration of their artist career from the United States and beyond.
