Launched in 2002, Harlem Postcards is the Studio Museum in Harlem’s photography project that invites contemporary artists of all backgrounds to reflect on the cultural, artistic, political, and social landscapes of Harlem. Conceived by Director and Chief Curator Thelma Golden, Harlem Postcards is an invaluable archive of the moments and places that represent Harlem’s undeniable cultural and historical impact.
