Harlem Heyday: The Photography of James VanDerZee is the accompanying exhibition catalogue for the major exhibition of the same name that commemorated the opening of a new facility for the Studio Museum in Harlem in 1982.

Presenting a remarkable image of Black American life, this exhibition highlights the work and legacy of James VanDerZee and his portraits of Harlem during the 1920s and 1930s.
