Barkley L. Hendricks Sir Charles, Alias Willie Harris Tea Towel

Capturing subjects, their style, and their character with intentional references and thoughtful technique, Barkley L. Hendricks presented renderings of figures that were joyful, human, stylish, and above all, distinctive.

This portrait of Sir Charles, Alias Willie Harris
, offers three vantage points to and from a suave and stylishly dressed Black man. Observing his surroundings with subtle intensity, this figure with his perfectly coiffed hair and richly hued red coat is relaxed and acutely aware at the same time.

Partnering with Third Drawer Down, this exclusive linen tea towel was created in celebration of Hendricks’s work and legacy.
