Barkley L. Hendricks met Tyrone Smith on the streets of Philly.
Hendricks once remarked after requesting to take images of Smith, that he went into “a whole theatrical posing thing,” causing a crowd to gather. Posing with denim overalls, a white collared shirt, and a tote bag styled to resemble a clutch, Smith was a force to witness.
Hand-printed on a cotton and polyester blend, this Misc. Tyrone (Tyrone Smith) Hoodie celebrates Hendricks’s legacy and the Frick’sBarkley L. Hendricks: Portraits at the Frick exhibition, on view at the Frick Madison through January 7, 2024.
